We were super busy translating throughout September, which is actually quite fitting as the 30th September was International Translation Day!
We did however manage to find just enough time to tuck into these very appropriate cakes – lovingly crafted for us by our favourite local café. Don’t forget to spot the linguistic symbols on our new website coming soon.
We celebrate this day to show solidarity with the international translation community. It is an opportunity to show how proud we of our what we do.
International Translation Day has been celebrated every year on this day for over 60 years, to help promote the translation profession worldwide. The 30th September is the feast of St. Jerome, who translated the Bible into many languages (most notably Latin), and is recognised as the patron saint of translators.
